How come Dogbert and Catbert never interacted?

just wondering

Didn't they interact in the Y2K episode when Catbert was solving all the other problems of Dilbert, Alice, Wally and Asok? He asked what Dogbert's problem was and Dogbert said, "I'm prefect, thanks for asking."

It was the guardtroll who asked what was wrong with Dogbert, not Catbert, but otherwise it was right, they had some interaction in that episode.

Not mentioned in the series, but I'm pretty sure in the comic strip Dogbert was in fact responsible for Catbert's hiring.
