Gwen was wrong not to let Harriet be friends with Ricky just because he was grown up and mentally handicapped.

Well Gwen didn't want Harriet to end up like her, 15 and pregnant, hence her insistence to not to let Harriet be friends with grown up boy Ricky even if he was mentally handicapped.

So are you saying that Harriet was a stubborn little girl and that she should have at least listened to Gwen no matter how wrong she might have been not to let her be friends with Ricky?
