So I suppose Pitt and Ford did not get along!
I just read the trivia section. Did not realize that these guys had such big egos at that time.
I don't think they will ever do a movie together again. Thankfully for Ford I suppose.
I never got the impression that it was eachother they didn't like. It was the changes to the script/direction the film was going that seem to agrivate pitt.
shareBut it seems that it started when Ford came on board when asked, but then expected that the script would be altered to make Sergeant Tom O'Meara a far more central figure.
Ford was at the height of his star power at this time, while Pitt was rocketing upwards and I guess Ford didn't see himself at that time, playing second banana, like he did in something like Cowboys vs Aliens in later times.
IMO Pitt should have just gone with a good character actor in the O'Meara part and may be that would have meant less script changes and more harmony on the set.🐭
