Question about the ending (SPOILERS!)

not really. the film plays out like a Greek tragedy, and there is alot of symbolism throughout. The character riding into the sun was symbolic that he would be destroyed by it, and in that scene you can see it almost looks like the sun is "absorbing" him in it's light. i think it's a very spritual film, and if you see more Yugoslavian cinema you will see that style alot.
