Okay, back in the early 90's when I was a young teen, I loved Pitt (like every other teenage girl). I eventually found a copy of this film, and although the Pitt crush had passed I thought I would get it. What a waste of money. This is one of the worst films I've ever seen! The story is laughable, the acting is terrible and whats with the leather and motorbike? (I know why, but still?) Also the lead female...dingbat!
Dreadful film, absolutely dreadful. This should never have been made, although if anyone asks me for a really bad film to have a laugh at. At least I can point them in this direction :D
---------------- For every shadow, no matter how deep, is threatened by morning light.
Don't think this movie is bad at all. And the motorcycle thing isnt an arguement of why the movie is bad, you have to try feel as he does or try atleast to think why he does what he does. Wouldn't the costume when he is sitting on the motorcycle help him to fake an "excuse" why he always walks with it?
I think it's good acting and the story could have been true that makes it more interestning.
It seems like a movie that is older than the modern movies, that is good. I loved it.
I thought it was a B movie, that I usually see on CW at 7:00 a.m. in the morning. I 'was' tickled to see 'Baby Brad' when he took the mask off, though. I had kept thinking....I know that voice.:)
I loved the movie except for the lead girl. She was terrible. She was so bad I thought she was distracting. I thought she should have still been in her high school play.
I tuned into this movie part way through and was struck by how awful the guy in the mask was. I thought, "His face is covered. Why couldn't they have hired someone with a tiny bit of talent to dub his lines afterwards??" Then he takes off his mask (and reveals a head full of perfectly coiffed, shining hair, despite apparently never even seeing himself in the mirror before) and it's future superstar Brad Pitt. If this movie had aired in 1988, I never EVER would have predicted he'd be more than a dinner theatre reject.
I have to agree. I think that Brad is a terrific actor, as well as an astoundingly gorgeous man, but - he's awful in this! Everyone (except maybe Guy Boyd, who is competent) and everything is. It's just awful, like a bad Yugoslavian after-school special - part Spiderman, part disease of the week.
Someone I was watching with said 'C'mon, you can see he's got a spark', but I don't think that I could... it's kind of interesting that I would never in a million years have predicted from this that one of these actors was going to go on to become hugely famous; and I would say, a pretty wonderful actor.
Just goes to show - it's not all genetic gifting! You gotta work for it too. Apparently Brad Pitt did. :)
Did anyone see the fight scene? It was one of the worst choreographic fight scenes ever. And the motorcycle race? Uuurghh! Dont get me wrong, i usually like Brad Pitts movies, but this one was terrible.
Just saw it yesterday. CouldnĀ“t believe that Brad Pitt was in an Yugoslavian movie. Sooo bad..... and funny... when he said to Frances, the girlfriend: You will be a great movie actress.... haha; Guess who was to become a great movie actor!
Who cares if it's a good movie? It's Brad Pitt when he was jailbait, and given the lack of suitable middle-aged men who haven't succumbed to middle-aged spread and alcoholism, I'm all for that!
I don't know who you thing you are, but before the night is thru...I wanna do bad things with you!
He was 24/25 years old when he made this film. Not jailbait, just looked like jailbait. Reminds me of me when I was younger. People thought I was 14-16 years old until I was 30 years old. Now, I look my age (38). So sad.
