Anyone read the book that this was adapted from? Any major differences between the two?
shareA wonderful book, both poetic and informative. It fills in some of the background of the characters & events in the film; for example, the relationship between Rejas, a mestizo, and his wife, blanca. Also explains the daughter's dance at the end. Pity the novel hasn't been translated into Spanish.
