Third Time Around For This One

This is a remake of Jackson County Jail from 1976(which was remade before as a TV movie, Outside Chance, in 1978) which I liked better.
Ally Sheedy & David Carradine aren't bad. But I get pretty tired of the attempts at tongue and cheek humor that moviemakers these days always seem to feel impelled to put in anything, regardless of whether or not its warranted....
It kind of throws off the performances here(IMO)

I thought this film was okay. Sheedy and Carradine are both good, but the story suffers from a bunch of heavy-handed and implausible contrivances as well as a ill-advised moments of goofy humor that seem painfully out of place. 5 out of 10 from me.
