Ending?

Could someone tell me how this ends? My free HBO weekend cut out just as Kyra was applying lipgloss while telling James Spader she was blackmailing him. (I kept seeing Brenda Leigh Johnson.) Did they put in the feeding tube? Was Helen Mirren successful letting Jeffrey Wright die?

I'm going to go look for a medical directive form now.

James Spader gets his own lawyer and has papers drawn up for the half sisters to split the money and give him power of attorney over their father, and if either sister doesn't sign, he'll make sure the other sister wins. Both sisters begrudgingly sign and both patients who were being kept alive with machines are able to shuffle off this mortal coil peacefully. Helen Mirren took care of the younger dude, and James Spader offed the old dude.
I think, if possible, Kyra Sedgwick's acting got even worse as the movie went on. Wow, she was just awful.

Nice!

It wasn't Shakespeare, but obviously the movie got me invested enough in the characters to want to know what happened to them. Thanks for the wrap.

You're welcome. I know how it is....I get sucked into awful movies and have a hard time walking away without finding out how they end.

Kyra was pretty bad.

Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar, or doesn't.

reply

Bar! Please, bar. I get depressed every time I'm forced to contemplate that cat dying in the damn box.
