Production connection with The Sopranos

Not that this matters one iota but it's something I noticed so I'm hoping someone can help bridge the production connection between Cop Land and The Sopranos.

Actors in cast in both Cop Land and The Sopranos:

For what its worth there are also several actors from other HBO productions such as The Wire:

I cannot for the life of me find the missing link between the two. If it's simply that actors are casted by region I.E. there are "New Jersey" groups of actors then thats boring, I was hoping there was someone in casting that would have had "favorites".
