Spell that sound effect

Of the transmission. How would one express that sound with letters?

T.A.D.A.R.D.I.S sound.

The original sound was made my scratching a house key on a piano string and playing it backwards at different speeds.

Using that sound effect does make for interesting speculation. In the Whoverse, there are lots of aliens. In the Fermi Paradox we live in there are none. That the sound can make a cameo, gives credit to the film makers.

A search on who forums can give ways of spelling out that sound.

I think the IMC blue is lighter than TARDIS blue. At the time the film was made Doctor Who was on hiatus and effectively canceled. So the sound effect was sort of a joke. Whovians were looked down on as a cult, lower than star trek.

It does make sense as the IMC pod was effectively a T.A.D.A.R.D.I.S and contact was made with the "War Doctor." who was also played by the late John Hurt. So the doctor did appear after all.
