I recently watched this again, I noticed how afraid she is when she is on the phone with him. But I noticed she has a small scene at her shower and she looks like she is sitting on the floor rubbing her shoulder looking like she has a bruise. Any thoughts?
shareI think he cheated on her at the least, which is why she was always getting gifts from him because he was late (remember Iris and Margaret saw him with another woman in the car?). I think Jane knew subconsciously that something wasn't right with him - at her shower I think she was stressing and having doubt and was in her room sobbing because of the stress of it all. Her boyfriend was just not a nice guy - and her life probably ended up being pretty crappy because of her decision to marry him.
