....What's with this thing?

Okay, was it even released theatrically in theaters? Why does it only have 200 votes? Why is it almost unknown? Please explain in great detail. The more paragraphs the better. :DD

This will not be overly detailed but here goes,
This film only played at a few festivals, Tellerude, Toronto & Tribeca.
Like a previous effort TWO BITS also directed by Al Pacino, They could not find a distributor, I will see Chinese Coffee this week & will have a review here. I did see TWO BITS; for what it was.it was OK, BUT not for a general audience. I imagine Chinese Coffee is the same,

I get my films from NETFLIX & have found many small lil gems like hopefully this will be.
I put this on my list mainly cause of Jerry Orbach I was a big fan of his. I didnot even realize Pacino was in it until IO researched further.

There are many movies similiar, that have played only at festivaks & maybe a handful of theatres.
Apparantly audiences prefer stupid comedies or sex movies or action packded ones & not individual small dramas like Chinese Coffee or Two Bits.

A couple corrections :

This film is not like "Two Bits" because Pacino did not direct that film or finance it.

Chinese Coffee, like Local Stigmatic and Looking for Richard was financed with Pacino's own money and never released because he chose not to release it (and Stigmatic). Chinese Coffee had a distributor (Fox Searchlight), Pacino simply decided not to release the picture.

Yes, I've seen every Pacino film (multiple times, I'm kind of weird like that :).

"Revolution" ......well, there's a good idea in there somewhere and some of the sequences are kind of beautiful and dreamy on the battlefield. But the actual plotting of the film, the dialogue and most of the acting is quite bad. Pacino has some things that work in his performance but not overall - it's a very physical role, not usually what he plays, and he gets that part of it right. His accent is off though (and I usually think he's good with accents), and he has no chemistry with Nastassja Kinski whatsoever (she is awful in that film).
It becomes fairly funny when they keep bumping into each other throughout the film !

"Two Bits" I think is an ok movie, slight, but it has a certain charm. It's not anything great but its heart is in the right place and it's easy to watch - it's like a (much) lesser version of Steven Soderbergh's "King of the Hill" in some respects.
