Great movie

i just saw this some days ago after having watched the local stigmatic amd follow up with looking for richard. I really liked this movie, i thought it was brilliant amd nowadays with big budget cgi is the standard made it even more brilliant. that got me wondering what other movies similar to this are there, does anyone have any tips?

I'm not a connoisseur on the subject, but I think you might enjoy play-based films in general. They tend to be minimalistic and extremely character-focused (naturally), which lends them a certain intimate quality that traditional movies rarely approach.

I thought Chinese Coffee was exceptionally good, but you can generally find that distinct "conversational" feeling in many movies directly based on plays.

thanks for the answer, i recently saw the sunet Limited (tommy lee jones, samuel l jackson)

i'll have to look into these play-based films because they are really intresting

I'm sure you know Glengarry Glen Ross, but just in case you don't, that would be one to watch.

haha yes i definitely got a glengarry vibe with the dialogue. Mamet wishes he wrote Chinese Coffee but it is very "Mamet speak".

A further recommendation would certainly be "My dinner with Andre". Same set up but over dinner and without the flashbacks. Both 10/10 viewings.
