Bachehaye Aseman for sure should be on top 250 . I calculated it and it got 8 with the Imdb formula !!! Why it`s not there?

The movie says that it is not religion that fools people, there is nothing wrong with the government of Iran but some reach people in north of Tehran are cause of all problems. New fascist president of Iran expresses the same sentiment. If you do not know him go and read about him. Films like this glorify the policies of the Islamic republic and their false promise of caring about the poor.
shareI'm sorry but you are certainly very misguided about this film! You have either not understood the message of the film or try to connect everything with the politics of the Iranian regime. I know Majidi and I have seen all of his films and followed his career even when he was an actor in Makhmalbaf's early films. Showing some religious elements doesn't make a movie fascist. besides, a lot of Iranian people may be deeply religious and have belief in islam but they certainly don't agree with the regime and what the president does and say. anyway, I think it is not right to connect such a beautiful, humanistic and honest movie to politics and call it fascist. it is just so cruel!

I agree--don't look for anything political. One of the 'perks' of this movie is that it gave me some insight into another culture. It didn't proselytize or in any way make me want to become a Muslim (or not want to become a Muslim), or feel that the government in Iran is/is not good. It simply gave many Westerners a peak into life in another part of the world. The movie is very sweet and the children are adorable. Just enjoy it.
