I would have to say that the sunflower love scene is one of the all time best scenes I have ever seen in any movie! It is so funny, still sensual, and fun.

The whole movie is amazingly funny. My favorite part, though it was predictable, was Afrodita finding the love of her life while running away from her wedding. That was so deliciously gracious and funny.
sharewithout doubt, when in the beginning the father is drinking fuel with pleasure, while spitting out the water...
Another highlight is the "bad guy" (unfortunately i didn't remember any names), whenever he is dancing like a maniac - especially in the "pulling the nail" - scene.
this movie rules !
My favourite part is without doubt when Dadan wipes himself with the duck in the end of the movie. Me and my girlfriend was laughing for atleast 5 minutes straight.
Anyway, this is a very good movie which showes that you dont nees lots of special FX and a Hollywood bugdet and actors to succeed. I would say that this is one of my all time favourites.
I'd have to say the wedding. Thats the kinds of parties that I would like to attend... its those moments that make me want to be a gypsy! But the sunflowerscene is one of the greatest scenes of all movies! So incerdibly beautiful.
shareWhen Grga dies at the wedding party in the evening, and only Matko and Dadan witness his death... and the first thing Dadan does is steal Grga's watch. So smooth.
Anytime Dadan sings and/or dances
Oh.. and when Matko is hanging off of the dead body... weird, morbid.. but so funny.
And... yes, the goose-towel part, classic.
I love this whole movie. I love every scene. Even the pig that eats the car through out the film. The whole thing was so visually beautiful. This movie is in my top 10
the wedding scenes in kustarica's films are always the best. The music and celebration is such a part of the film experience. This whole film kept me in stiches though.
Mohammad is the Muslim God - vangelis
I just caught this movie on Cinemax and enjoyed every second of it.
I'd say my favorite scenes would be:
1) Dadan wiping himself with a goose. ("You stink, my friend.")
2) Young Grga's face off with Dadan and his men.
3) Dadan finding out that Afrodita ran away.
Interestingly enough, Cinemax followed this gem with "Steel"(1997).

Every time I see it I have a new favorite part, but one that hasn't been mentioned was the swimming scene, where the little kid sneaks up on the old man playing chess with Zare, and slaps him on the head. Nothing to do with anything, but maybe that's the best part. I still burst out laughing whenever I think of it... (and then people think I'm weird...).
shareI love the whole movie, all the scenes that you all mentioned are great, but I have to for the pig eating the Trabant. I just love that.
shareWonderful movie from beginning to end!!!
My favourites are the pig eating the car, and Grga constantly watching and repeating the lines from Casablanca!!!
"Not only is there no God, but try to get a plumber on a weekend"
my two favorite scenes are the ones where Dadan sings and dances on the "Like a Pitbull" song
shareMy favourite part of the movie is when the two old guys wake up from the dead. I thought they were going to be vampires because they woke up before the 40 days were up. Oh well...
shareBoth of the Pitbull Terrier scenes! Just *beep* hilarious! I watched it with a bunch of friends and we almost died laughing! It just comes so unexpected lol!
dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today. - james dean
The old people waking up part was my favorite, too. It was a sort of unexpected happy ending, and it felt really good.
shareevery time dadan is dancing...........
and the part where the band is tied to the tree
1, 2, 3.........SLOBODA!!!!
Pitbull Terrier....Pitbull Terrier...
A theme never to forget.
Hilarious.
The Band tied to the tree is the best scene ever. So funny.
In second place I'd say the face on the grandfather at the very end. This film is brilliant.
