Girlfriend Dropped DVD Case In Horror

So Amazon finally got 2 copies of this in stock and I got one. I've been trying to find it for years, scouring every corner of the internet but no luck. Very few friends of mine even remember this movie existing, and I felt I had to prove it to them. I've been into doing Bad Movie Nights for years now and I've got a vast collection going, but this was that elusive White Elephant I could never seem to track down and get my hands on. My collection needed a new crown jewel, as ,my retail copy of Ben & Arthur had been there for some time.

My girlfriend picked up the package after it arrived and asked if she could open it, assuming it would be Dragon Tattoo or something else exciting. As soon as she saw Carrot Top's mug, the DVD fell from her hands and she shrieked. It was a genuine, visceral reaction. The kind bad movie buffs are trying to elicit from others on boozy Friday nights weeks after week. It was wonderful.

I put it in after she calmed a bit but she could only make it about halfway through the first scene where Carrot Top is an unborn child that was somehow able to smuggle lab equipment into the womb. In all fairness, the movie has a persistent creepy vibe. Like that feeling you got when your great-grandmother would lean in for a kiss, only this lasts for 90 something minutes.

I remember when I first saw Chairman Of The Board. It was the perfect way to see something like this. I was 15 and it was summer vacation. I had just watched the Time Chasers MST3K while laying in bed on a Saturday morning and then flipped it over to HBO right for the very beginning. I watched it the whole way through, mesmerized by how someone worse than Pauly Shore got a movie. I was fascinated by how something could try so hard to be "zany" and get it completely wrong, producing not so much as a smile. You just kind of stare gape jawed and zombified. Now I understand my experience isn't the norm. Most people must just scream and throw up.

Hahaha!

I have this in my collection, where I found it at a pawn shop years ago.

Have you seen the youtube video with Courtney Thorne-Smith on Conan? It's awesome. It was just before the film was released, and for some reason Norm McDonald was also on the show that night, and after the trailer plays he just bashes it.

Courtney is sitting there, not knowing what to say, trying to laugh it off, but she knows her career is going to be killed by CotB.
