Danny doesn't do his job.

His job is to say his line 'Meow' during filming. Does he consult the director? Do it in rehearsal, and not waste a lot of money in film? No, he straight up tries to upstage Darla(evil though she be). Can you imagine a film being made where the extras tried to hog the spotlight each time the camera rolled?
