Bardem or stunt double?

Does anyone know how or if Bardem trained to use a wheelchair, or if some of the more complicated wheelchair sequences used a stunt double?

David Traversa. Abigail Salerno: Reading the credits at the end of the film, I learned that he had three trainers to get those sequences right.
Besides, he's known for being a perfectionist when it comes to prepare a character.
