I just watched this film just this afternoon.

I think it was brilliant. One of the best films i've seen in a long long time.

i just watched the 1972 charleton heston movie and then this adaption back-to-back. thank god they filmed this movie. so much closer to the book than the 1972 version and much better in every way - acting, script, directing, photography, etc.

A magnificent film, sadly underrated and unheard-about, and astonishginly faithful to Jack London. Loved every minute of it.

Just seen TCOTW and also liked it I gave it a 6 out of 10.
It was not as sad I thought it would be to.
This will stay on my list of dog films for good.

Good film. I liked the way that the narration described the story from Buck's point of view. I would like to see more animal movies where the dog or other creature is given a voice in this way. This commentary style was descriptive in a kind of poetic way.
