Time for a third installment

Ally Sheedy can assist a new victim deal with a would-be-killer.

The sequel's best twist was enclosing the husband and whore in the prized boat - nicely sealed - ensuring plenty of time to ponder their actions.

Just my two cents ...

I like the idea of a third "Buried Alive"...but I really don't see how it can be made without looking exactly like the previous two, and the second one was stretching it a bit (but was still an acceptable sequel). Clint was the main anchor to the sequel, and with his character now dead, there would be no plausible ties for the third one even if they did bring Laura back. Lets face it- Laura wasn't a particularly "strong" character like Clint- her presence would only bring the third film down, IMO.

Good points, maybe the answer is that they set it up so that Ally goes on with her life but constantly looking over her shoulders and thinking she sees and hears ghosts from her past. She finally seeks professional help because of physical manifestations like things in her home being rearranged, etc ... doctor convinces her it's in her head and to deal with it by sailing out to sea. She's out there and SMACK doctor is her ex's previously unknown brother and TWIST, her ex had escaped (show something twisted like him using the girlfriend for air or something) and survived enough to gasp her name as the reason for his death. Just when it seems hopeless, a dingy pulls up containing the sheriff and he saves the day.
