No you are incorrect about that. In the original Buried Alive Tim Matheson gets his wife and her lover locked in a maze and burns down the house. He suffers for the rest of his life until he dies in the sequel with health issues from the poison from the fish. In the sequel Ally Sheedys character is the one who sinks a boat with her husband and his mistress on it.
