Seriously, if this guy was alive today and lived in America, American females would think he was a weird stupid idiot. They wouldn't find him charming or lovable, they would just think he's gross and weird. They would completely ignore his huge heart and passion for life.
I've lived in America my whole life and I can say that American woman don't care what kind of man you are, only your image, pocketbook, muscles, etc.

Guido is the kind of man i would love to be...who i want to be, who i have the wit and spontaneous nature to be...but i can't be because it is looked on in a negative manner by society. I have a huge heart and passion for life and have comically created situations where i can see or be alone with the woman who makes my heart go crazy...and been charming in these situations which have resulted in what i would say fair amusement from the womans side. However once they see the intentions of these unexpected meetings (or should i say what they 'think' is going on) then i am suddenly a stalker, a creep, a pervert? I have never lusted for sex in my entire life...nor have i ever had it (and lets be honest people, a couple of bacardi breezers down the club can hook you up, but i dont want that meaningless physicality). The fact that society interprets these actions as a man who is only after sex, or that is weird when I really just have a big heart and want to share it with who i genuinley beleive to be the right woman actually crushes me and makes me even pity what things have come to in the world.

OP is really ignorant... he's suggesting what American women's image in the media would think of Guido.
In reality, those types of women compose of VERY small percentage of the population, and simple get marketed the most because they tend to be the "prettiest".
There are plenty of decent looking, kind-hearted American women who look past a man's money and image.
I could only take the OP's post seriously of she or he was qualified to speak on the behalf of every single woman in America.

Guido is just like the actor Roberto Benigni who plays him, and Benigni is married - IN REAL LIFE - to the actress who played his wife in the movie. Plenty of American women marry beer bellied, football watching, couch potatoes and live (somewhat) happily ever after.
Guido had a lot to offer - a huge heart, charm, humor, and most of all a devotion to his family where he put them and their needs above everything. Now that's a rare find in today's world of me-me-mine, selfies, and self-absorbtion. A smart woman anywhere would value those qualities.
