does anyone see elements of Donald Trump in....

Bulworth?

This age of media saturation, he seems to embodied that by not or maybe not telling the truth but by being honest.

Donald Trump would be the rich guy donating to Bulworth to corrupt him. Bernie is closer, but Bernie would be the guy who was never corrupted and has been saying the same things since before they were popular.

I see a closer parallel to the movie where Robin Williams is elected President (Man of the Year) since that character and Trump are already well known to Americans, both make bombastic statements that infuriate the establishment of both parties and neith havr been elected to political office before.

4 years on & you look a complete fool

When has Trump ever "spoken the truth" about helping anyone who was non traditional American? Trump wants to keep people out and kill families and torture people. Bulworth was speaking against the wealthy. I'd bet anything that Trump will never do this. He uses fear to rally paranoid masses that produces hate. Scary beyond all belief.

Not even close.

reply

No...and Beatty himself was interviewed about the election in connection with the film and he said he was more like Sanders.

reply

Only if Trump had a breakdown.
