Not realistic

Near the beginning some dogs chase a kitten. The kitten runs and runs and runs on flat ground. That is not realistic, not even for a kitten. A cat would run to the closest place it could go up and then go up.

Yes, I know they did that to make the movie cute. The movie claims to be realistic but we can't trust the movie to show what animals are really like, it sacrifices realism for cuteness. I assume much of it is accurate but we can't trust the movie to be realistic. That is unfortunate.

Also, I suspected that the gorilla in the movie was not always a real gorilla. Now I discover that never was a real gorilla used. The adult Buddy is a human in a costume and the young Buddy is animatronics (robots). The infant Buddy does look very realistic but a little stiff.
