Where are Michael Shawn Lucas and Aaron Williams today?

I am still waiting for a sequel to this movie!!
Whatever happened to Cindy Soltoff, who wrote the powerful song which Aaron Williams sang to Michael Shawn Lucas? That is the best song I have heard in years. She mustn't stop writing!!!
I want to know what happened to everyone associated with this film! The fabulous Barbara Winters-Pinto! The adorable Gerry McIntyre! Gary Janetti! Everyone! Anyone know anything?

It's great to see that Hugh Panaro has had such SPLENDID success in his career. The man DOES sing like a cross between God and an Angel, so he definitely deserves all the success he can have. In fact, if there were any justice in this world, he would be a ga-zillionaire now because he SHOULD be the most famous singer on earth!!

If you watch the end credits through to the end of the movie, you will see that it's not his voice. What we are hearing is dubbed. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0954906/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cr86

I totally agree. This was an absolutely splendid film - brilliantly constructed, intelligent, witty, totally involving and of course with that exquisite soul composition performed with such amazing panache in the recording session in the back room of the house across the way. It's ten years since I saw this at the Edinburgh Festival and never heard anything more of it, so I assume it failed to get distribution which is a very sad comment on the commercial distortions of the film industry and no doubt why the director and most of the main actors seem to have had very little follow-up, which is a crying shame. For a film seen so long ago I can remember it extremely clearly, including various snippets of dialogue. But I'd forgotten the title and for years tried searching for it here and in Google without success until somehow finally just the other day I hit upon the right combination of keywords to find it. What a joy!

This film shows young people who ring very true for me. I really don't understand why it was never seen by more people. I pray it will be rediscovered at some point in the future. We need more positive films like this.

I found it enjoyable, albeit slow in spots.

I've looked up the two leading men, Mr Lucas and Mr Williams, in IMDb. I can only guess that the reason two such talented and attractive performers have so few listings is that most of their work is on the stage.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
