I'm new ... I watched "The Brave" (loved it) and wondered if anyone else noticed the oddly placed, subtle comic relief when Raphael applies for "the job." The can of beans on the "interviewer's" desk says, simply, "Fart," from the way it's positioned. I got a kick out of that and it strikes me as very Depp-ish, but after seeing the rest of the movie I did question the appropriateness.
shareWe all know that Johnny has a thing about farting and finds it hillarious, this is partly why I dont like "The Brave" as a film..it is very uncomfortable reading as a book...and as much as I love JD, he and his brother did not do a good job of making a screenplay from the book. JD seemed at sixes & sevens over what it was he wanted to DO with this film it made me realise that whilst some actors can comfortably be in front of & behind the camera, JD should stay in front of it IMO. There were too many inconcistencies, given the faustian plot with the way JD played it.
If you havent seen it I wouldn't worry too much about thinking it is a must see, I dont believe it is!
