Couple of things. Big spoiler.

First of all, I was disapointed by the ending. I wanted it to go further for one specific reason: since I truly liked Raphael and felt a whole mixed-bag of emotions for him, I would have liked to acompany him in his downfall to torture and death. I mean he's going in for quite a ride, especially if the torturer is that crazy guy who's been following him during the last week. I don't actualy want to watch free torture (ex: Hostel or Saw) but this time you feel connected to the guy and knowing what he's going to live is unbearable. If at least he could have someone to hold his hand while he gets murdered. I know it's unrelistic and kinda stupid but that's how I feel.

Secondly, I'm trying to imagine the atmosphere during the snuff, I mean how sick it must be. First, you have the victim who's probably going through hell in his head, constantly suffering and wondering what's gonna be next while throwing out everywhere. Then you have the torturer who's probably having the time of his life and you know he won't stop no matter what you say/cry to him because he likes it. Third you have a sick cameraman who won't listen to your prayers either. Finally, sitting in his wheelchair in the back, the guy who paid for the snuff is there encouraging the torturer to make sure he gets as much as possible a great show. What a mess and you know you won't see the sun nor your family again. Instead you'll end your life with hours of madness and pain in this crazy medieval basement. Oh God, if you made humans at your image you must be one sick lunatic.

Oh yeah, I laso want to know why the crazy guy you see in the office at the beginning gets killed? Anyone can help me with that?

Thanks for reading and sharing.

The crazy guy probably gets killed because he knows too much, but I can't remember.

The book ends the same way as the movie, with one key difference - at the end of the movie, I felt like Rapahel was at least dying for something, and I was hopeful for his family, in that I felt they would still get the money. At the end of the book it's pretty clear that they took advantage of him, lied to him, and his death is for nothing (I think they front him $1,000 in the book).

First of all you are in this for the pain and gore hey thats your thing, I watched it too and I have watched Hostel and Saw but where we differ is you want to see the torture and humiliation it's in you. But where we differ DO NOT bring God in this that just pees me off your a punk, that uses God for your excuses. GOD made us and yes in his image but he gave us free will to do as we chose you go down your path I go down mine. All people are not freaks some like the story not the torture scenes. DONT use GOD again it really pees me off stick to your reviews movies and such stop with the God stuff. oK God should not even be metioned in this subject. Agree?

Donna, I don't think he was using God as an excuse for anything. And just like you're allowed to believe in God being a good and kind God, etc. the PP is allowed to believe that God is more of the Old Testament, fire-and-brimstone-and-vengance God, or believe that there is no God at all. I think it was more of a throwaway comment than a commentary on modern religion or society as a whole.

Also, your = a possessive (your dog, your opinion) and you're = you are (you are a punk, you are crazy). Just FYI for future reference.
