Depp has spoken very highly of Brando. And those who know say Brando LOVED Depp. Brando worked with Depp on "Don Juan de Marco", and the two reportedly became close. They were cast after that in another movie, starring Depp, Brando, and Debra Winger, called "Divine Rapture", but it folded in mid-production when the money didn't come through for the indie film. Finally, it has been said that Brando appeared in "The Brave" as a favor to Depp.

As far as working with Brando, Depp explained that he was initially, understandably, nervous about it, but Depp says Brando went out of his way to make him comfortable.Brando often joked around and made Depp laugh.
