It's worth a few bucks to rent, but I wouldn't pay full price to see it. More of a Sunday afternoon, nothing else on TV kind of movie.
As usual, or at least often, Chris Penn is really good as the 'undercover cop', especially in the second half when the cracks in his character's facade start to show.
If you saw or liked Angus, this movie is in a similar vein to that, about how hard it is to be a 14-16 yo in the late 90's, etc.
I believe that Sawa guy plays the main character, the stereotypical young teen struggling against a world that doesn't accept or understand him.
Some good music, though.

I think it's worth renting. I saw it many years ago when it came out. I actually think the main character is Dominic Zamprogna and Devon is his friend, but I can't remember I was in like eighth grade when I saw it. But it's worth it. Good movie. I rented it at Giant Eagle.

LoL when I was looking up Devon Sawa one day i came across a description of that movie, it sounded good, but I didn't really pay much attention to it. Well the other day I went into town and found it in a cheap movie bin(loooove those) for like $2.99 so I got it lol. I just started to watch it like half an hour ago, and I'm already into it, its definantly a good movie and worth the trip downtown for sure.

I first saw it on Showcase some years ago, and was hooked. There's something sickeningly fascinating about the movie, if you know what I mean. There's just something about innocent boys looking up to a guy who ends up nearly killing them at the end (plus nearly killing one of the boy's brother). So I rented it a while later, and now I'm dying to rent it again. Heck, I should just save myself the trouble and buy it so I can watch it as often as I want, lol

(of course I was in love with Devon Sawa back then and I thought he did a great job during a certain crying scene ["Help me!"])

Yep, I rented it once. Then I saw it again on Showcase. It's quite good - dark, tense, gripping, and stop short of being clichéd.

yeah, i have it taped on on VHS from showcase, commercials and all. I really like this movie, it's worth a watch. And bif naked is in it, so you can't go wrong.

I have this movie on videotape but would like to get a DVD copy. I always think that the boys' commonsense should have told them that the so-called cop was an impostor. I found the ending a little disappointing.

i was at wal mart and i was looking in the 5.50 bin and i found this and i read the back and decided to buy it. i have watched it at least 3 times and i love it everytime. its one of my favorites and is well worth the money i spent.

I have this movie on tape and have seen it several times. Definitely a movie to own (I do not think it is available as a Region 2 DVD).

I have seen it and Sawa does a great job in his role. I would recommend buying it.
