Howdy. Does anyone know the song used in the trailer? I've heard it all over for years, but never in its entirety and have never caught the name. Can someone help me out? Thanks for your time.

shareThe song is simply entitled I've Got a Lovely Pair of Coconuts, originally written by Danny Kaye. Your man from The Virgin Prunes modified the song a bit, pulling the lyrics out of the tune and adding a ringing church bell throughout the entire thing, let alone a pretty good drum groove and some awesome repeated phrases around the main theme. "Great mad sounds," says I.
I have the official soundtrack at home on media known as compact disc, but I haven’t listened to the CD in a while mostly due to ineptitude and laziness. I know that the CD is somewhere downstairs next to my CD collection.
I also have the The Boxer DVD downstairs somewhere, but I do know that it is not in my DVD collection because I do remember pulling the DVD out one night in order to watch the thing, only to change my mind at the last minute and watch, instead, a Roy Keane DVD that I own.
