Tip of hat to 'Odd Man Out' at end?

Hello Belfast experts --

In the final pan of The Boxer, the camera moves from the road at the waterside up the side of a church steeple to the sky. You can see (I think) the hills of the north side of Belfast Lough in the distance, across the Lough.

Is this a reference to the closing scene in Odd Man Out? James Mason is near a church, near the docks around there, when that movie ends.

Anyone know if these two movies end in the same location?
