shareThis movie is full of rocks, but it is a pitiful example of filmmaking. This couldn't have been cheaper or more meolodramatic. Not only that, it's totally fabricated. This should never have been made. Only 10-year-old Indian boys would like this movie.
shareTotally agree. Lot of jingoism marred an otherwise masterful piece. The performances were good but a bit over the top. Casualties were exaggerated. Also, the role of the IAF has been diminished in this movie. No doubt, the battle of Longevala was about the bravado of a regiment standing their ground but they were ably aided by a sharp air force.

Back again after all these years, it is still easily my favorite movie. The soundtrack is perfect and nostalgic, brings back memories from childhood. The story, the machine guns, the drama everything is A+. God must have made this movie, I can't ask for anything else nor will I ever tire from watching it. This movie is epic *beep*

This movie is based on actual events at Longewala, while some parts may have been exaggerated (it's a film after all), the basic plot was based on a real battle during the Indo-Pak war.
