Sigh...
I just needed to say that this movie makes me sad. I loved the original which I have seen too many times to count. However, this movie just blows. Thanks for letting me vent!

I have to agree. I can't get enough of the original but the sequel was a bad idea. I'm sure it has its fans, but the mood and style was all wrong. I even felt Dan had trouble getting the old Elwood accent right at times.
shareThe first film was a product of it's time. Huge budget, crazy premise, strong cast. You just can't get lightning to hit the same spot twice.
I also don't like Goodman in the role. I think if this film had to be made Aykroyd should have waited for Jim Belushi. It still would have sucked but at least you get the lineage and Belushi is a blues a fan.
