I think the most I lasted was about 10 minutes...

I tried to watch it on a cable movie channel.
Never caught it from the start.
About 10 minutes is how long I could tolerate before changing the channel.
Is every scene that bad or did I just catch the bad scenes?
A boat falls on Darrell Hammond and explodes and a state trooper for no real reason goes way up into the air.
Whatever I watched just looked real stupid.

Damn, I'm good.

It's that bad. In fact, I came here to see if I was the only one who felt that way. I feel guilty too, since the original Blues Brothers is one of my favorites, as a kid.....

The overall movie's compromised and all, but I thought the first few minutes of Elwood waiting for Jake and then going to see the penguin were very well done. And the musical numbers are all amazing. And not just the soundtrack (which is what most people say) but actually getting to watch the performances.

Do you have your movies confused?

What you described sounds like the first one which is awesome and a classic I love.

This is the board for the awful sequel.

I liked the beginning of BB2000, so sue me. Of course, you make a good point, that it's a bit of a retread, hehe.

I finally broke down and watched it when I came across it on Crackle. Big mistake. This movie should not have been made.

Ok...I finished watching it. If anyone feels they have to see this movie, skip ahead to The Louisiana Gator Boys part.
