Even Ackroyd admitted this was bad

He was on one of the talk shows recently promoting the new Ghostbusters film and they started talking about this film. All he had to say about it was that it was a bad sequel. Understatement of the year! I read in another thread he doesn't watch film he's in. No wonder!

Who exactly is Ackroyd? You must have meant Aykroyd.

If he admitted that this was very bad, why even bother writing it in the first place?

reply

It's not that simple. The studio has to have their say and that can mess things up.

reply

According to the trivia Landis and Aykroyd thought the script sucked and knew it would flop. Makes you wonder how well you perform going into a film that you don't like and why you would even bother in the first place.

reply

Maybe it was still fun to make? Making a movie you know is a turkey, maybe it's a blast.
