Hokey plot but great action movie.

I love this movie. I think its one of Gary Daniel's best. I always thought he sounded more Australian than British. Most of his movies are like all the rest. Lots of high kicks with bad editing. He finally found a good director and editor. All the fight scenes are great. My favorite is the samurai sword fight between Shalavi and the sensei in the dojo. Great camera work. The wirework isn't as annoying as some of the other films Ive seen. A chunky Rob Van Dam makes a cameo. Co-lead Chuck Jeffreys is a fight choreographer who's worked on all three Blade movies, so you know he's legit. My only complaint is the story. Its typically bad martial arts plotline. Just a reason to get the combatants to square off. Four out of five action stars. ****

I just watched it and really enjoyed it as well. The acting and plot are pretty average to say the least but the fight scenes were entertaining and action packed. Good action flick.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

I agree, the well-choreographed fight scenes more than make up for the poor plot and editing (boom mics aplenty). Great action movie!
