Rhyolite, Nevada!!

I found this movie on cable recently and decided to watch it since I'd seen the previews.

What I hadn't expected, though was to see the ghost town of Rhyolite, Nevada!

The 'bombed out city' where Buddy fights with the bowling guys is an actual crumbling old town in Nevada, just on the edge of Death Valley. I have been there and have pictures of this place, but I never expected to see it in a movie heh.

Incidentally, Rhyolite also has a house made of 100 year old beer bottles. Kind of odd that they didn't include that in the movie. But maybe the people who made 'Six String' have other plans for other films. :D

The location also showed up in "The Island".

My wife and I visited Rhyolite this past summer and it was a nice little surprise to see it while watching Six String Samurai.

What's funny is we have a few pictures that are framed very similarly to several of the shots in the film.
