And there are people who think the kid in "The Road" is annoying.

I'm pretty sure that the kid was supposed to be annoying so while I you and I didn't like the kid, I have to commend the kid on performing to spec. After all, there's no way they were looking at the dailies and saying 'yep, there's no way he'll annoy anyone!', not unless the entire cast and crew were deaf.

Agreed, the filmmaker was to blame for this performance. The kid just did what he was told. Truly one of my least favorite characters in any film.
