Wasen't Scotty and his friends that raped and killed Tracy and not Ricko. because the movie showed Scotty and his freinds rapeing and hitting tracy

Yeah it was Ricko - the other guys raped her earlier in the night but didn't kill her. Ricko tells the whole story of how he killed her at the end of the film - when he confesses to Jared.

Scotty and his mate's raped Tracy and smacked her around a bit... but then Ricko found her when she was trying to walk home... She asked him to comfort her and help her home and he was all like, "yeah no worries, but first things first" and he tried to lay her down in the sand and have sex with her... She freaked out, (who wouldn't after what she'd just been through) and tried to get away from him, but he tried to force her back down... she then bit him which pissed him off so he beat her head in with a rock.... Hope that clears it up for you.. if you get a chance you should watch it again, it's a very good film!!!

Not only is it a really good film, it's based on a true story, of a young girl in Newcastle australia........it's so sad

Yeah it was ricko, the movie is based on the play property of the clan by nick enright and the play is based on the true story.. in the play cherrie's name is jade and the mum doesnt have cancer

Actually, in the play cherrie's name is Cherrie and Jared's mum >does< have cancer.

depends which play you're talking about

The very first play was called 'A Property of the Clan' and it was really..really really short (and yes...mum had no cancer)

Enright then extended the play in another version called 'blackrock'..which obviously led to the adaptation here :D...

After reading this play for school, I wondered how terrible, but then the true events of the real person who got raped and murdered, oh that story is a million times more horrible. Being an Australian, I thought how, I do not see people who are that bad, they are nuts of course but not that bad. It gives me the creeps.
