Song help.

What's the song they play when they're shooting Rory(fairy) with the squirtquns?

My band (My Drug Hell) has a song in the film called Girl at the Bus Stop, but I can't tell you if that's the one in the scene, as I have never seen the film (they never sent me a copy or any money come to think of it.) Tim

Hey Pyretta -

I don't know which song you're talking about in this movie, but if it's the first one at the beginning of the film (full-throttle punk rock song), it's from my old band that I played drums in (Cynical). The song's called "Amoxicillin" from our first LP, "No Cure..." that was out in '97 on Kill Yourself Records.

Here's the link I found on this site, if you haven't seen it yet: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0118730/soundtrack

Take care,
DD

Hey Pyretta...

Our CDs turn up in mom & pop punk record shops once in a while. While I have none of the 1st discs left, I can ask my old guitar player if he's got any extras on his end.

In the meantime, I can burn an MP3 from my copy & email it off to ya. Get back with an email address I can send it to. We never had a website, but Mark (guitarist & singer) put together a MySpace page for the old fans at: http://www.myspace.com/cynicalca

And here's the lyrics to the whole song:

"Amoxicillin" from the Cynical LP "No Cure..."
Music & Lyrics by Mark C. Nical
(C&P 1997 Cynical Music BMI)

You, you can't hurt me
I already hurt myself
You, you can't scare me
Fright I don't know how to live without
You can't deny me
Deny me my world of doubt
My mirror casts a reflection
Of a castastrophic wrong
Sitting forever uncomfortable in his skin

Save me
Save me from myself

I - I'm despondent
I have not the capacity to love
I - I'm not alright
I never really was
I - I'm not losing
I already lost long ago
Guilt's an addiction
So hard to kick
You're only as sick
As your deepest, darkest secret

Save me
Save me from myself

Hey Steph...

The MP3's on it's way. Thanks for the nice words about it, as well. The guy that produced our first LP back in late '96, Peter McCabe, knew someone that was working on the soundtrack/scoring of Black Circle Boys at the time and Pete gave the guy a rough mix of our soon-to-be pressed 1st LP. Long story short, the guy wanted to use "Amoxicillin" in the film.

And, no- we were never ripped off for that song placement, as the agreement we made with him was a nominal payout of next to nothing, being we knew the movie itself wasn't going to be released huge & national. We always thought it was gonna be one of them straight-to-video flicks.

Being that the whole first record (and our following 3 LPs) were (and still are) licensed through BMI Publishing, we found out a year later that the Animal Planet channel used almost every song off of "No Cure..." for some "Predator Attacks" kind of show. Mark actually got a coupla decent checks for that. Let that be a lesson to bands to publish thier music! LOL! You never know when someone might be using your tunes for scoring & whatnot.

Anyways, Steph, thanks for the nice comments again.

Do you know where I would be able to purchase the song "Amoxicillin"? Or if it's not available, I'd be appreciative if you could share the MP3, my email is tpm3000 on yahoo. I really liked the music in the movie. Some of the other songs in the movie are proving difficult to find also.
