Today it’s quite common for protagonists to puff a J but I remember in the 80’s and early 90’s, it was extremely rare for the good guys to do it unless they were hippies. Marijuana was seen as a drug and lumped in with the other drugs and perceived much more negative than it is today (they also weren’t using it for medicine). This was also the same year 70’s show started.
