i love dean cain, i have had a huge crush on him since he was in superman. but i hate the fact that he plays a gay man in this movie. it just depressed me. i know im weird, but i really have had a thing for him for years

Well, I thougt both of them did very well in this movie, and looked quite handsome too, so you people should be happy about that. I really liked this movie alltogether, it had a nice combination of everything, at least it did it for me at the time I watched it .

The good looking guys in movies die because most people don't care about the ugly guys...

By the way, another great movie with sean patrick flanery: The Boondock Saints (I won't tell you if he dies or not, just watch it)

P.S. Next time you write a spoiler like a main caracter dying in a movie, just warn people about it, because I would have hated you, hadn't I seen the movie already!

um, you need to get some help. First of all, he played a gay guy IN A MOVIE. secondly THERE's NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY. And lastly, even if Dean Cain were single, horny and standing right in front of you HE WOULDNT TOUCH YOU WITH A TEN-FOOT POLE.

Well, yeah, but it's not like he kissed any guys or anything, so it doesn't make much difference. I'll admit though, that when I figured out the character was gay(even before they said he was), I did let out my line of: "Why are all the hot guys gay?!". But, it's just a movie, it's not like he is in real life. And even if was, I'm never going to meet him anyway, so it really doesn't matter.

I hate to tell you this guys, but he also plays a gay man in The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy. And that doesnt make him any less hot.

No it doesn't. Homosexuality is defined by the intentions behind acts not the acts themselves. Since his potrayal of a gay guy is purely for acting then he does not make him gay - just an actor.

I doubt being engaged to a woman and having a son makes him gay either.

Actually in Broken Hearts Club he did kiss a guy. A full on snog, too.

Surely his playing of a gay guy is offset by the fact you get to see Dean Cain wearing nothing but a tight pair of black Y-fronts in the beginning?

He's been in about 100 movies, tv shows, whatever, always playing a straight guy. He plays a gay character in ONE movie, and it depresses you? Because you have a thing for him as if you have a chance with this guy? You ARE weird. This is what actors do, it's called acting.
