Rubbish, absolute rubbish

This movie started off promising, with a tale about a group of men who were taking their friend who was just released from state prison to be married to his longtime lover. On the way one friend stops off to rob a bank and when the rest of them go to collect him they all get caught up in a hostage crisis. Anyway after the begining the movie turns into some far lefest, anti-American *beep* about how the vietnam vet who joins the group loved killing people when he was pro american, and then after he started using drugs it had a positive effect on him, and he became a pacifist. THere is also the Homosexual who is portraid as a victom of the government for violating the "Don't ask Don't tell policy" and the FBI officers are all portrade either mindless robots, or sadist. Look Im and independent who leans left on several issues, I have no problem with gays in the military, and know that our government can do some sinister things sometimes, however this is to much for me. This movie gets one star out of ten for the initail idea that quickly goes down the drain. But if you hate America you should definetly watch it. Do you hear me Michal Moore, Ted Turner and King Abdulla?

You're reading way too much into a simple movie.

ok the vet saw it was bad to be killing period, it didn't matter who he was killing or who he was killing for, he got on the drugs and basicly became a hippy. The fbi agents were portrayed as jerks because we were supposed to hate them because the one was going to die, and it was really only the main agent who acts like a jerk and he gets killed. and your making too much out of all this. plus michael moore doesn't hate america, he hates parts of america. theres no one who doesn't hate parts of america. I mean i think we're a great country but we're not perfect. Rethink this and learn how to spell you idiot.

Just thought it would be funny to point out that most people that seem to have a problem with this movie on this message board seem to come across quite illiterate. Maybe there is a direct link between not being able to spell and put together a proper sentence and not understanding that its a movie. C'mon Man!

Crap, indeed. This thing was actually billed as a COMEDY and the title and ad art were also completely misleading. And the makers of "Dog Day Afternoon" should have filed a plagiarism suit.
