The ending
It held my interest, then it was 14 months later and the painting came up for sale and then it was the end. What did I miss? What happened?

The ending was great!!! He was playing her all along!
The ending was to show his plan was working...they waited a little bit and started to sell the paintings, and Roos had figured it all out, he did say she was "smarter" than he was, she was just playing "a different game".
A little unsettling yes, but a good twist.
I knew the cop was up to something when he talked her into "fooling" his softball team by telling them they got married in Mexico. I thought he was going to bump her off, but he proved to be just greedy and not a killer, like she was.
This is very hard to read, isn't it?
