Criminally Underrated Film

We all have heard that this film is so terrible that it single handley killed the Batman franchise in the 90's. Too be fair it did but personally I felt that franchise died when Burton stepped down. Anywho, I have never understood the hate this film gets. Is it campy? Yes Is it over the top? Yes Is it damn entertaining with tons of replay value? You bet your ass it is. This film along with Batman Returns are my go to choices when I'm in the mood for a Batman film, They are just a hell of fun to watch and never get old.

Just look at what you get in this film. Extremely erotic and sexy poison ivy, Arnold with his Ice Puns, A bat credit card,Michael Dough who is still the best Alfred to date, I also actually enjoyed the cinematography style its so much better than the gritty realistic look of the Nolan films.

All I know is I love Batman&Robin it's a incredibly entertaining film and I have no shame in admitting I wish we got more Batman films like it. i do enjoy a darker tone to Batman as well but I also enjoy the campy fun one as well.

I agree. As a kid, i loved this movie and never understood the hate. As an adult I consider it very campy and it is not by definition a good movie but it is underrated and I enjoy watching it. I'm watching it now :)

Uma Thurman alone is worth the price of admission.

I'd say at 3.7, it's way overrated.

I watch this movie when I was a little kid and it was one of my favorite movies besides Disney's cartoon. Me and my siblings remember word by word, I don't even know why lol all I know is we love this movie so much we watch it very very often back then.

And then last night I watch it again after a long time and I got this nostalgic feeling and still love it! I'm not sure if it's bcs it reminds me of my childhood or this movie really is good. Either way, this movie IS underrated.. Also, I have a huge crush on robin lol

I 1000% agree with you. I think the fans almost destroyed the batman franchise and not this film. I wish we would have got the rumored Batman Triumphan over the Nolan films.
