What's wrong with Schumacher yelling it's a cartoon through a megaphone?

And repeatedly saying "it's a comic book"?

reply

There's nothing wrong with that. Schumacher yelling that it's a cartoon that is. Not sure if you really mean that or rather "What's wrong with Schumacher, yelling it's a cartoon through a megaphone?"

reply

It's embarrassing and insulting, he has to make every comment of his sound pretentious.

reply

Well.. It is a cartoon though.

reply

Yes but he's talking to everyone like idiots and doesn't show he's a professional. He's somebody who I'd wanna punch real bad.

reply

It may be his acting class. Sometimes it's hard to break away from experience

reply

He is flamboyantly gay, he's always trying to come off as cool.

reply

Robin? I heard that, but I don't know if it's true.

reply

There's a trope called Jerkass has a point.

reply

One thing it coming from a crew member or audience but coming from the filmmakers all it did was attracted ridicule, imagine the Marvel Cinematic guys saying it, would do nothing but damage their films and the filmmakers.

reply

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, it was a comic book movie and it aimed to capture a particular time in the Batman comics when it was campy and more innocent like and with more over the top action. Just because the fanboys like to pretend that period didn't exist doesn't make this a bad movie.

reply

Actually it was only campy and comedic with the villains. The constant saying "it's a comic book or cartoon" did nothing but damage Schumacher and the film , if any MCU guys etc said it would do nothing attract ridicule, all the people who made successful comic book movie aren't going round saying it.

Everyone had a problem of it being made by a flamboyant director.

reply

I don't care about MCU, they are some of the worst movies ever made. If you read the comic book issue were Poison Ivy first appears, it's exactly like the move in tone and story.

reply

Who cares? Nobody wants a Batman film made by somebody who's flamboyantly gay.

reply

Then you are a homophobic imbecile.

reply

Fuck off

reply

If somebody said the same thing when working on a Disney film, it's one thing coming from audience members when it's coming from the filmmakers themselves it would be inducing eye rolls.

reply

You know that I really hate to be put in a position where I myself totally hate a movie and have to call someone a total moron when this person criticize the said movie, but you put me in that position...
