I used to love THIS?!

When I was really young, this used to be a movie that my brother and I watched over and over.. I just watched it recently (I haven't since then), and I was flabbergasted. It's amazing that you can think things are "so good" as a child, then realize, Hey! No wonder people go to school to learn things.

I used to love this movie too, but I haven't seen it since I was about six. I should probably check it out again, because everyone keeps saying how awful it is and I thought it was so good!

I get the feeling you're violating somebody's basic human rights here...

I also haven't seen it in quite a long time, but I just remember thinking that Basil was the creepiest and ugliest child I have ever seen in a movie. His character gave me nightmares.

There happens to be an updated picture of him on another site, if they've got the credits right - but linking to it would probably send you into epileptic convulsions, if not burn your pupils.

I havent seen this movie in almost ten years. I used to own the video and watch it like every day. i guess i should check it out again. its gonna bring back a lot of memories

I saw this only recently and I thought it's better than Titanic, which isn't saying much, but there are much worse movies out there.

I was watching this today and I remembered certain scenes very distinctly...I too forgot that when I was five years old I watched this over and over and over.

LMFAOO. ahh, that just made me crack up, because i thought the same haha

but yeah, i remember fricking loving this movie as a kid, i watched it so many times! i actually remember that as a little girl i loved the character carrie and i had this doll that actually looked exactly like her! i seriously hope that when i have a baby when i get older, she'll look as adorable as carrie because those actresses who played her were too precious!

I disagree that we can learn to have particular tastes. That's not to disagree that experiencing different things can broaden our tastes, though.

But what we learn instead is what other people consider good or bad, and unfortunately, some people care enough about fitting in that they change their views in an attempt to match that.

I used to watch it a lot too when I was young, I may have to re watch it again to understand why it have so a low rating in IMDB.

This movie is silly. That's why we enjoyed it when younger. There were some cute parts, but the shocking part is the quality of the stars in the film. I figured it had to be good. I was very disappointed. 5/10
