Flashdance & Coming to America homage?

1) Did anyone else think of Flashdance, while Nisi stood in the auditioning line and the competitor started her own (or rather Flashdance's routine); this one was rather obvious, don't you think?

2) I also thought of Coming to America. But didn't feel that the "fish-out-of-water kind of humor" in both trying to fit into high society AND pretending that they were really somebody else than their true selves- worked nearly as well in B.A.P.S as it did in Coming to America..

3) Maybe the last bit was more like Fresh Prince of Bell Air?!

Am I alone on these thoughts?
