Wasted Opportunity

I love the original Avengers TV show. It's one of the best shows ever. This movie adaptation is just awful. The only thing they got tight was Steed's car.

They should've stuck to the source material instead of trying to come up with their own stupid plot.

Ralph Fiennes is miscast, and Uma Thurman tries her best Diana Rigg impression but it never is as effortlessly cool as the actual Mrs. Peel.

Why are Sean Connery, Jim Broadbent and Fiona Shaw even in this? Sean's character is very flat. Mother and Father are unnecessary, and not even close to the original Ministry directors.

It's just a mess. I hope one day, they can make a more faithful film version, using plots and characters from the show.
