Criterion worthy?

La Haine was great, is this one too?

La Haine was a milestone, this is an interesting piece of work. I've only seen it once, when it come out in theatres in Europe more than 10 years and ago,and at the time it left a huge impression. Only very few people in the theatre in the week of its release, and half of them left halfway through.

Storywise, it's not the most original movie, nor a very subtle one. But the way Kassovitz conveys his message visually is once again amazing. I remember a hit scene on a street in broad daylight vividly, brilliantly orchestrated...

I just have to see it again now, check out how it stands after a good decennium!

Let's hope he returns to these sorts of movies...
